ATLANTA (AP) -- Investigators with the FBI's Atlanta field office say a third suspect in the kidnapping of a teenage girl has been arrested.

Special Agent Ricky Maxwell says 19-year-old Christopher Joseph Atkins, also known as "C.J." was arrested Monday in the kidnapping of a 14-year-old Ellenwood girl.

Authorities say Atkins was indicted last week on charges of conspiracy to kidnap and discharging a firearm during a violent crime.

The girl was taken from her home about 13 miles south of downtown Atlanta Sept. 17 and was later left at a relative's house in Conyers.

Police have arrested 29-year-old Wildrego Jackson and 40-year-old Juan Alberto Contreras-Rodriguez in connection with the case.

Authorities say armed men broken into her family's home early in the morning and demanded drugs and jewelry from the girl's mother.
