GAINESVILLE - A Cornelia woman who entered a guilty plea to federal explosives charges earlier this year was arrested in Gainesville over the weekend on traffic charges.

Gainesville Police Cpl. Kevin Holbrook confirmed that Celia Alchemy Savage was released from jail on bond Sunday after being cited for leaving the scene of an accident with damage and reckless driving. The incident occurred on Windward Lane at Summit Place Apartments just off Limestone Parkway.

Holbrook did not have further details on the arrest, pending completion of a police report.

Savage is still awaiting sentencing on the federal explosives plea. (See link to article from July 2013 below.)

Federal authorities said Monday afternoon they have no comment on the Gainesville arrest. They also said a court date for sentencing on the explosives charges has not been scheduled at this time.
