WINDER - Barrow and Jackson County authorities arrested a Bethlehem man early Friday morning after he barricaded himself in a residence in Bogart.

Barrow County Sheriff's Lt. Matt Guthas said Christopher Marshall Adams, 23, had numerous outstanding warrants in Barrow County.

Guthas said an anonymous tip shortly after midnight led them to the residence at 2098 Highway 330, but Adams refused to come out.

With information Adams may be armed, Guthas said the Barrow County Sheriff's S.W.A.T. team responded to negotiate.

With no response from Adams, authorities forced entry into the home on a search warrant and arrested him. Guthas said he was hiding and offered no resistance.

Guthas said Barrow County authorities turned the scene over to Jackson County deputies. Jackson County Sheriff Janis Mangum confirmed Adams was taken back to Barrow County to face charges.

The outstanding warrants included battery - family violence, interference with a 911 call, theft by taking, cruelty to children 3rd degree, possession of methamphetamine, possession of tolls for the commission of a crime and probation violation, according to Guthas.
