Girls basketball: Lakeview cruises past Commerce

GAINESVILLE -- The Lakeview Academy girls basketball team jumped out to a 24-8 first quarter lead and never looked back en route to a 65-38 win over Commerce on Tuesday in Gainesville.

Schyler Miller scored a game-high 19 points to pace the Lady Lions (3-2), while Marlee Rochester added 9 points and Daniele Morgan 8 in the win.

Sabrasha Jones paced Commerce with 10 points.

Lakeview will play again at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Lanierland tournament against Flowery Branch at Flowery Branch.
