GAINESVILLE - The rain and the cold could not put a damper on the crowd's enthusiasm, as Green Street in Gainesville was lined with holiday cheer for the "Christmas On Green Street" festivities Sunday afternoon.

The event was kicked off with a parade of antique cars down historic Green Street. Carolers and musicians performed for those in attendance, while several of the historic homes that line Green Street were open to the public for tours.

The evening wrapped up with the lighting of the Rotary Tree.
