MT. AIRY - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is releasing a little more information about Sunday's double shooting in Mt. Airy.

Late Monday morning, GBI Special Agent in Charge Kimberly Williams issued a statement identifying the victims as Sinouane Nanthabouthdy, 37, and Inpanh Nathabouthdy, 58.

"Sinouane Nanthabouthdy suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to the hospital," according to Williams. "Inpanh Nathabouthdy suffered a gunshot wound and died at the scene."

Mt. Airy Police Chief Corey Allen said earlier that Sinouane Nanthabouthdy remained in the intensive care unit at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

The incident at 803 Ivy Hills Circle was reported at 12:40 p.m. Sunday.

Two children who were in the home at the time were not hurt, Allen said.

Asked whether the public needs to worry about a possible armed person, Williams said, "No. Only the two were involved. No public threat."
