ATHENS - Two men accused of robbing a business owner outside his Suwanee home last month have been arrested in Athens.

Gwinnett County police said they received multiple tips from the public once they released surveillance video from the Pendergrass Flea Market, where the robbery victim operated a business and recognized the suspects from their visits to that business.

Detectives were able to obtain a partial vehicle tag number from surveillance footage as well, and tracked brothers Raymond Meadows, 40, and Ralph Meadows, 41, to 140 Booker Street in Athens.

The Athens-Clarke County SWAT team and Gwinnett County Robbery Unit detectives served a search warrant at the brother's home Monday. They were arrested without incident.

The robbery happened November 16. The victim told police he was robbed at gunpoint after he pulled into his driveway. One of the suspects fired a gunshot into the floorboard of the victim's vehicle in a demand for more money.

In addition, Gwinnett police said one of the suspects told investigators they could find the shotgun used in the robbery in a river in the Athens area. They said the shotgun was recovered, and investigators determined it had been stolen in a Hart County burglary in April.
