"Puppy Therapy," as it was called, featured adoptable dogs from the Hall County Animal Shelter. The dogs came with handlers Monday through Wednesday and parked themselves in Sorority Circle - a central location on campus.
Freshmen Hannah Jackson and Corrinna Redford were overjoyed to take a break from finals and studying to play with a puppy.
"This is the best form of therapy there is," said Redford. "I was doing math homework, like, 30 minutes ago and said 'I need a break!'" Jackson agreed. "I think it's awesome! They're so cute and it's great to just come out and pet the puppies."
Faculty, staff and alumni have responded positively to the "puppy therapists" on the college's social media outlets. This was the first year Brenau has brought out puppies during finals week, but it most likely will not be the last.
