CUMMING - The northbound lanes of Georgia 400 reopened just after 2 p.m. after a number of cars became involved in an accident just north of Bald Ridge Marina Friday afternoon.

The Georgia Department of Transportation said fuel from one of the vehicles spilled onto the roadway, making conditions hazardous for a time.

Forsyth County Fire Division Chief Jason Shivers confirmed there were minor injuries to some of those involved in the crash, according to the DOT.

Even though the highway is reopened, the back-up remained heavy because of Black Friday traffic heading north toward North Georgia Premium Outlets in Dawsonville.
