SUWANEE - Gwinnett County Police went public Wednesday with photographs of two suspects in the armed robbery of a man in his Suwanee driveway.

According to Gwinnett County Police Corporal Jake Smith, the suspects apparently were at the victim's business in the Pendergrass Flea Market earlier the same day.

Police said the victim closed the business, Zone Electronics, at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, November 16, and drove home to Suwanee.

The victim parked his car at home when someone knocked on its exterior, according to Smith. "When he looked out, he saw one of the two suspects he had spoken to earlier in the day standing outside of his car with a shotgun," said Smith. "That suspect demanded some money, the victim did provide him with some money and the suspect said that's not enough."

According to Smith, the suspect then fired a shot into the floorboard of the vehicle. "[It's] unknown whether or not he intended to hit the guy, but he didn't," said Smith. "The victim gave more money to the suspect at which point the suspect ran away to a waiting vehicle."

Smith said the victim immediately recognized the suspect as one of the men who has visited his business that day. The victim told authorities the two men had spoken with him a number of times over several hours at the flea market.

The still photographs came from the victim's store security system, according to Smith.

Police said both suspects are described as black men, between the ages of 28 and 35. One is about 5'07" tall and between 130 and 150 pounds. Investigators said the other is 5'09" to 6' tall and weighs about 160 pounds.

Smith said the flea market offered a $5000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case. The amount is in addition to a Crime Stoppers reward of $2000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
