Hall Co. HR director recognized for baseball tournament, volunteer work

GAINESVILLE - Hall County Human Resources Director Bill Moats recently received a volunteer award from the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association Seventh District for his work on the Forsyth County Slugfest Baseball Tournament. <br /> <br /> The Slugfest is an annual baseball tournament that raises money for local non-profits. <br /> <br /> Moats organized more than 250 teams and more than 3,000 players during the weekend of March 8-10. The yearly tournament has raised over $140,000 for charities in the area, including the Miracle Network, Northside Hospital, Children's Healthcare and the Special Olympics.
