According to sheriff's deputy Chad Mann, Hall County dispatchers got the call Wednesday from a young man claiming to have been shot at Johnson. The boy then hung up according to Mann.
Authorities scrambled to the scene, and with the school system, conducted an investigation. They found no one with a gunshot wound.
"We communicated back and forth with each other, interviewed quite a few students on hand at Johnson High School. After speaking with them, they (investigators) were able to pinpoint a couple of juveniles that were responsible for that," Mann said.
Mann said one boy is charged with false report of a crime, and the other with misuse of 911.
Hall County School System spokesman Gordon Higgins said the two have been suspended pending a disciplinary tribunal.
Because the students are juveniles, Hall County authorities did not release their names.
Mann called it an ongoing investigation. Higgins said the two used a cell phone to call 911 during school hours.
