Gwinnett police search for suspects in robbery, sexual assault of elderly woman

LAWRENCEVILLE - At last report, Gwinnett County police investigators were still searching for two men in connection with the rape and home invasion robbery of a 79-year-old woman.

The crime occurred on November 6 at 6:45 p.m. at a home on Madison Chase Drive, according to a press statement from Gwinnett police.

The victim told police the two suspects armed with a handgun forced their way into her house and then forced her to a back bedroom where she was restrained on a bed and sexually assaulted.

She said after the men searched her house,they fled with her purse.

Wednesday police sketch artists released a sketch of one suspect. He is described as a light-skinned black male, 20-25 years old, about 5'10'' tall,
black hair, brown eyes and clean shaven.

The victim told police the second suspect was a black male, but she could give no other description beyond that.

Tipsters may receive up to $2000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
