HOMER - The man suspected in the kidnapping of a Commerce toddler on Friday has been caught in Banks County, according to the Banks County Sheriff's Office.

Chief Deputy Shawn Wilson said 41-year-old Michael Troy Wilburn was found hiding under a bed at his father's residence on Leachman Road.

He said deputies were able to take Wilburn into custody without incident.

Wilburn had been on the run since Friday evening when he allegedly abducted his girlfriend's two-year-old daughter from the parking lot of Northridge Hospital in Commerce. The child was found safe 45 minutes after the abduction.

Wilson said Wilburn also has outstanding probation violation warrants out of the Banks County Sheriff's Office.
