TUCKER - Gwinnett fire officials say a small blaze in a church's storage room led to the building being evacuated.

Lt. Colin Rhoden says firefighters were called to a church on Lawrenceville Highway in Tucker Sunday afternoon because smoke was seen wafting from a building attached to the church's sanctuary.

The building was evacuated and firefighters put out a small blaze in the church's storage area.

The church's congregation was allowed back into the building after authorities ventilated it to clear smoke and potentially harmful gases.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is unclear.
