Retired Banks, Habersham educator dies

MT. AIRY - Dr. Kay Brown Rogers, who served in administrative posts at Clarkesville Elementary School and Banks County Middle School, has died.

Dr. Rogers, who lived in Mt. Airy, died at her home Wednesday following a brief illness. She was 57.

A retired educator, she had served schools in Haralson and Gwinnett counties, in addition to Habersham and Banks.

Dr. Rogers was a former assistant principal at Clarkesville Elementary and also served for 13 years as principal of Banks County Middle School.

The funeral will be Friday at 3:00 at Clarkesville Baptist Church.
