Dunagan, Miller win mayoral elections

GAINESVILLE - Danny Dunagan was elected mayor of Gainesville, while incumbent Mike Miller was re-elected to the mayor's post in Flowery Branch in Tuesday's General Election.

After final votes were counted, Dunagan garnered almost 62-percent of the vote in a field of four candidates. His closest opponent Rose Johnson picked up nearly 21-percent of the votes cast in Tuesday's election.

In a statement posted on Facebook Wednesday morning, Johnson said "There are so many people that I need and want to thank. I believe God so much and I trust the work that he has done through this campaign. So, to all of you who turned out to vote yesterday
