Hall County records 13th case of rabies for 2013

GAINESVILLE - Hall County officials Friday said Hall County Animal services had reported the 13th confirmed case of rabies in the county this year.

The latest incident involved a raccoon that came into contact with two dogs in the Goble Drive area in the northern part of the county.

Hall County Animal Control got word Friday that the Georgia Public Health Lab Virology Section test was positive for rabies.

As usual, animal services workers will post positive alert signs in the area. Officials urge you to keep your pets up-to-date on rabies vaccinations.
