NEW ORLEANS - The suspect in triple murder ambush outside of a Snellville home in September has been taken into custody in New Orleans.

The Gwinnett County Sheriff's Department Fugitive Unit and the U.S. Marshall's Service developed information 33 year old Robert Bell might be in New Orleans.

According to Gwinnett police, the New Orleans Fugitive Task Force found Bell in a homeless shelter and caught him after a brief foot chase.

Bell allegedly shot and killed Angelina Benton, her 12-year-old son and her 19-year-old godson. Her boyfriend survived the attack. Bell had been staying with the family on Anderson-Livesy Lane.

Authorities have not discussed a possible motive in the case.
