GAINESVILLE - A young man and a juvenile were arrested in connection to an attempted burglary in Gainesville last week.

According to Gainesville Police Corporal Joe Britte, 17 year old Peter Andrew Breslin and the juvenile were seen acting suspiciously by a resident, who called 911. The resident was also a member of the Gainesville Police Department's Valley Road Neighborhood Watch Group.

"They [the resident] were able to successfully give a clothing description and a vehicle description just by monitoring them and watching what they do," said Britte.

Britte said police were able to apprehend the two without incident. They are each charged with one count of attempt to commit burglary and one count of criminal trespass.

Breslin was released to the Hall County Detention Center and the juvenile was released to a parent.
