ATLANTA (AP) -- Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed is expected to deliver a keynote address during a luncheon about the role immigrants play in Atlanta's economy and cultural identity.

Reed is joining Turner Broadcasting System CEO Philip Kent and others for a meeting with Americas Society and the Council of the Americas Tuesday afternoon at The Georgian Terrace Hotel.

Representatives from the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, Welcoming America and the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta are also expected to attend the luncheon.

The event's organizers say the meeting is focused on building a strong workforce and attracting more foreign business opportunities by investing in metro Atlanta's immigrant community.
