LAWRENCEVILLE - A man found guilty of molesting his stepdaughter by a Gwinnett County jury also faces charges in Hall County, according to Gwinnett court officials.

According to reports in both the Atlanta Journal Constitution and CBS-Atlanta TV, Andre Laurens Crane was convicted Thursday on six counts of child sexual abuse involving his stepdaughter. He was sentenced to life in prison plus 10 years.

Prosecutors said the girl was 11-years-old when the abuse began; she is now 15.

Court testimony indicated Crane hid an audio recorder in his home because he suspected his wife was having an affair. Instead, that recorder provided evidence of Crane molesting his stepdaughter.

Crane was caught in Hall County after authorities said he barricaded himself inside his home and tried to commit suicide.

Crane apparently faces charges in Hall County, although there is no word on a Hall County court date.
