LAWRENCEVILLE - Gwinnett County Police Thursday announced the arrest of four young men, allegedly top ranking members of the Top Rank Goons (TRG) street gang.

The gang has been tied to incidents at the Mall of Georgia, a Buford apartment complex and a summer party in Dacula. According to Gwinnett County Police Corporal Jake Smith, the department's gangs unit has been working an investigation into TRG since the party incident.

That crime involved members of the gang allegedly firing a gun at attendees of the party in June.

Smith said the gang also harassed and intimidated a woman at the Mall of Georgia. The woman's boyfriend had gotten into a fight with a gang member. The woman's six-month-old baby was with her, according to Smith.

Last month, police investigated a shooting at the Reserve at Ivy Creek Apartments in Buford. Smith said investigators have learned several TRG members were on the basketball courts when a rival group fired shots. One person suffered a non life-threatening gunshot to the leg. Carrington Frye, 17, faced charges in the shooting.

Smith said the SWAT team recently served warrants, arresting four top ranking members of TRG. Police identified them as Anton Swanigan, 22, his brother Antwan Swanigan, 20, David Satterwhite, 20, and Josh Neptune, 19.

The four, being held without bond at the Gwinnett County Detention Center, share a total of 26 felony and 13 misdemeanor charges. Smith said they include aggravated assault, battery, terroristic threats and acts, participation in gang activity and weapons charges.

Police believe more potential crimes committed by the gang have gone unreported out of fear of retaliation. TRG was known to, "retaliate against perceived slights and intimidate and harass those they had disagreements with," according to Smith.

Authorities said they're still investigating cases against members of the gang.
