Gainesville's Ralston sits at second in AJGA Junior Allstar

NORMAN, Okla. -- Gainesville's Spencer Ralston fired a 3-under par 69 on Saturday to move into second place in the 54-hole American Junior Golf Association's Junior All-Star Invitational sponsored by NIKEGOLF at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club in Norman, Okla.

Ralston is alone behind Youxin (Robin) Wang of China who opened with 5-under 67.

The Gainesville High standout will continue play on Sunday in the tournament.

The event features 48 boys and 24 girls from 22 states, China, Colombia, Japan, Mexico, South Korea and Venezuela. The Boys Division is playing the course at 6,781 yards, while the Girls Division is playing the course at 5,907 yards.

The Junior All-Star Invitational sponsored by NIKEGOLF is the closing event for winners and top finishers in the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy Junior All-Star Series. Specifically designed for boys and girls ages 12-15, the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy Junior All-Star Series presents opportunities for younger players to develop their skills and earn entry into AJGA Open tournaments.
