Motorists can expect delays during Thursday parade in Gainesville

GAINESVILLE - Gainesville Police Wednesday said traffic delays are possible Thursday as Gainesville High School celebrates its homecoming with a parade.

Officers said they'll close the Gainesville square between 5:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. Thursday. They said the main area of concern is E.E. Butler Parkway, which will be closed periodically at Washington and Spring streets during the hour.

Police asked that motorists use alternate routes if possible during the parade.
