ATLANTA - The deadline to register to vote in the November 5 General Election is coming up Monday, October 7, according to Secretary of State Brian Kemp.

Kemp reminded voters who are currently registered to utilize the Secretary of State's My Voter Page (MVP) voter education website to request an absentee ballot application, find the early voting locations and times in their county and more. The MVP website can be accessed at sos.ga.gov/mvp.

For Georgians who have yet to register to vote, there are several methods of registering to vote:

-Download, complete, and mail a voter registration application from http://sos.georgia.gov/elections/how_to_register.htm
- Contact your local county board of registrar's office or election office, public library, public assistance office, recruitment office, schools and other government offices for a mail-in registration form. A list can be found at http://sos.georgia.gov/cgi-bin/countyregistrarsindex.asp
-Registration is offered when you renew or apply for your driver's license at the Department of Driver Services.
-College students can obtain Georgia voter registration forms or the necessary forms to register in any state in the U.S. from their school's registrar's office or from the office of the Vice President of Academic Affairs.

Kemp said registration forms will be accepted until close of business on Monday.
