4 arrested after stolen rifle found in car

ATLANTA (AP) - Sheriff's officials say four people have been arrested after a stolen semi-automatic rifle was found in their car during a traffic stop.

Bibb County Sheriff David Davis told the Telegraph of Macon that one of the 17 semi-automatic rifles stolen from a Bass Pro Shop Sunday was recovered in Atlanta on Tuesday night.

Authorities say they found one of the stolen AR-15 rifles, a bag of methamphetamine and marijuana inside the car.

Investigators say 20-year-old Phillip Kemp and 22-year-old Trayvis Gray are charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and theft.

Investigators say 24-year-old Eric Stewart and 20-year-old Tonishia lee are also charged with theft.

Officials are unsure of whether they were involved in the burglary, and it's unclear if they have attorneys.
