Kayakers find body in Chattahoochee River

JOHNS CREEK - Two kayakers paddling along the Chattahoochee River in north Fulton County Monday afternoon found a body in the water, according to authorities in Johns Creek.

The body, according to a report in the Atlanta Journal Constitution, is that of a black male. One of the kayakers told the newspaper he thought the body had been in the river for some time.

The body has been taken to the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.
