CUMMING - Sawnee Electric Membership Corporation (EMC) has released a new feature to its platform of mobile apps for smart phones and tablets. The new tool is called "My Outage."

The new feature does not change the way a member reports an outage with their mobile device, but what does change is that the My Outage feature now provides a "status report" regarding the specific outage that is affecting the member's account. A member can now see what caused the problem, if a crew has been dispatched, an estimate of restoration time, a notice once power is restored, and more.

The suite of free mobile tools for the App can be found at www.sawnee.com/mobile. Once the App is installed, simply save your Sawnee account number under "Account Setup."

"It is important for Sawnee to continue to embrace technology and to offer what our members need to help enhance their quality of life," said Blake House, Sawnee's VP of Member Services. "If there is something within reason that we can do to provide better communication and customer service
