Boys basketball: Dawson County soaks up atmosphere, win at Philips

ATLANTA -- The Dawson County boys basketball team coped well with the bright lights on Saturday, defeating Rabun County 46-40 in a game played at Philips Arena in Atlanta. The contest was played before the Atlanta Hawks contest later that day.

The Tigers (17-2) pounced foa 14-7 first quarter lead and held on down the stretch.

Tyler Dominy scored a game-high 17 points for Dawson County, while Will Anglin added nine.

Austin D'Nofrio scored 14 for the Wildcats. Josh McDaniel also scored 10.

The Tigers will play again on Tuesday at White County in Cleveland.
