Jackson Co. investigators break up theft ring

JEFFERSON - Jackson County authorities think they have solved a string of burglaries with the arrest of three suspects earlier this month.

In a press statement, Jackson County investigators said they believe the three people involved are responsible for a burglary at Wayne Farms on Dec. 2, as well as a burglary on Lipscomb Lake Road on January 4. In addition, Jackson County officers say when they responded to a house fire on Diamond Hill Church Road on that same date they found a truck that had been stolen from the Hall County Board of Education offices.

The three people charged in connection with the crimes are:

Terry Dean Gailey, 46, of Carlton, was was actually arrested at a residence in Elbert County and charged with burglary, theft by receiving and criminal damage to property in connection with the break-in at Wayne Farms. He also faces charges in connection with the theft of the the truck from the Hall County Board of Education offices on Green Street in Gainesville. Authorities also determined Gailey was wanted on criminal charges out of Oglethorpe and Banks counties.

Joshua Brown, 34, of Commerce was charged with burglary in connection with the Wayne Farms burglary, while Tonya Leeann Stockton, 30, of Nicholson was charged as a party to the crime of burglary in the incident.
