LAWRENCEVILLE - A developer caught up in a bribery scheme involving a former Gwinnett County commissioner, her son and a Flowery Branch businessman is expected to enter a plea Monday.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Mark Gary's attorney said his client will plead guilty to bribery.

Federal prosecutors charged Gary earlier this month, saying he gave former Commissioner Shirley Lasseter and her son $30,000 in casino chips in exchange for her vote for a solid waste transfer station Gary planned to develop.

Lasseter, her son John Fanning and Hall County businessman Carl "Skip" Cain have already pleaded guilty and have been sentenced on similar charges.
