Gladiators open training camp on Friday

DULUTH -- The Gwinnett Gladiators will open training camp for the 2012-13 season on Friday in preparation for the Gladiators 10th Anniversary Season in the ECHL. Under the direction of Head Coach John Wroblewski, the Gladiators will will hold eleven on ice sessions and will skate in two preseason ga.m.es in preparation for the season opener at South Carolina on Oct. 13 at 7:05 p.m.

Gwinnett will travel to Greenville on Friday, Oct. 5 for a 7 p.m. tilt against the Road Warriors in the first preseason game of the year for the Gladiators. Gwinnett will then host the South Carolina Stingrays in a preseason game at the Duluth Ice Forum on Sunday, Oct. 7th at 4 p.m. Reservations for the Gladiators home preseason game are being held exclusively for Gladiators Full Season and Ticket Package Holders until Friday, Sept. 29. All seating at the Gladiators preseason game at the Duluth Ice Forum is general admission with a suggested donation of $5 to benefit the Southern Ice Hockey Association, a non- profit foundation dedicated to promoting youth hockey in the south.

All of the Gladiators on- ice sessions throughout training camp will be held at the Duluth Ice Forum. All sessions will be held on the North Rink (old Thrashers Rink) and are also free and open to the public.

Sunday, Oct. 7 Preseason Home Game at 4 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 9 - 11 a.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 10 - 10:30 a.m.
Thursday, Oct. 11 - 10:30 a.m.
Friday, Oct. 12 - 10:30 a.m.

The Gladiators are the ECHL Affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and are members of the ECHL, the Premier "AA" Hockey League and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
