CLEVELAND -- White County saw its three-game win streak snapped on Friday night, as the Warriors fell short in a comeback attempt against Blessed Trinity, 21-19 in Cleveland.

White County (3-1, 1-0 Region 7-AAA) battled back-and-forth with Blessed Trinity throughout, scoring three times through the air -- all three touchdowns going to receiver Andrew Bergin. But the visiting Titans had just enough answers to pull out the victory.

Trailing 7-0 in the first quarter, the Warriors pulled off their first touchdown pass, as running back Jeffrey Scoggin took a handoff, planted his feet and threw a strike to Bergin for a 7-7 scoreline. The receiver finished the night with three catches for 116 yards.

A Maurice Sutton interception set up White County's second strike -- 60 yards from quarterback Will Brock to Bergin and a 13-7 lead after a missed point after touchdown attempt.

Blessed Trinity fought back to lead 14-13 at the half and pulled ahead 21-13 before Brock found Bergin again for a 50-yard scoring pass. A 2-point conversion attempt failed, and White County could not put together another scoring drive.

Brock finished with 136 yards passing and 59 yards rushing, while Max Taylor rushed for 34 yards and caught one pass for 21 yards.

White County will play host to East Hall next week.
