LAWRENCEVILLE - The victim of a Gwinnett County wrong-way driver wreck faces a tough road to recovery and mounting medical bills.

43 year old Paula Holden broke all four limbs and eight ribs in the crash on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard early this month.

Her stepmother Jackie Crumpler spoke with Channel 2 News.

"It's going to be such a long road. It's just a little overwhelming at the moment."

Holden's father, Paul Crumpler told Channel 2 she had been looking for work and had no insurance.

The other driver, 18 year old Brittany Dutka, faces charges including DUI when she's released from the hospital.

Paul Crumpler said his daughter is a fighter.

"She says this is more like a calling to her. She feels the need to get out there and express to people, 'don't drink and drive.'"

Holden has undergone six surgeries and faces nearly $1 million in medical bills, according to Channel 2. Her family has set up a website to help her with those bills.
