GAINESVILLE - Members of the Gainesville Lions Club are now making phone calls to area residents, businesses and previous donors to fund its annual fall Children's Theater.

A donation to the Children's Theater project provides an entertaining show for area children and their families, according to Lions Club representatives. In addition, proceeds help the Lions to provide eye glasses, hearing aids and support to a number of community organizations.

The fall Children's Theater show will be held on Saturday November 17, 2012 at the Gainesville Civic Center at 830 Green Street in Gainesville. The Lions are bringing back the Puppet Guy, a real favorite of kids who have attended the show in the past. Show times will be 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Donors may also purchase tickets for their own families in addition to providing tickets for others in the area.

If you would like more information on the Children's Theater or the Gainesville Lions Club, contact Children's Theater Chairman Jim Schwartz at
