COMMERCE -- Commerce's pounding rushing attack made the difference in the fourth quarter on Friday night against Banks County.

The Leopards battled hard throughout but couldn't keep the Tigers caged in the final period, as Quay Little and Drew Whitfield scored two straight touchdowns to secure a 28-14 win in Commerce.

Commerce (3-0) poured on 301 yards rushing for the night -- including an 80-yard scoring jaunt from Terrick Ramsey in the first quarter and two touchdown runs from Whitfield.

Yet Banks County (1-2) stayed in stride with the hosts for much of the night, getting two rushing touchdowns from Wes Faulkner -- one in the second and one in the fourth.

The Leopards finished with 185 yards rushing and 81 yards passing but were intercepted twice by the Tigers -- once each by Jamir Walton and Baron Mather. Chance McClure led Commerce with 12 tackles in the win -- which moved the Tigers to 3-0 for the first time since 2006.

Commerce will play host to Rabun County next week.
