The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that those records show developer David Jenkins, granted immunity from prosecution if he testified truthfully, told investigators the $1 million in payments to Kevin Kenerly were "completely unrelated" to the county's purchase of the park land.
Kenerly has admitted he agreed to accept the money to cash out of a partnership on a Lawrenceville real estate development in 2007.
Gwinnett County Danny Porter contends that that money was a payoff for Kenerly's support of a Dacula land purchase that netted Jenkins $7.3 million more for the property than he paid for it a year and a half earlier.
