SUWANEE - A Suwanee man was honored Tuesday for his service as a first responder in the 9/11 attacks eleven years ago.

"I was shocked... I just thought I was coming to a football game here today, you know," said Steve Bailey, speaking with Fox 5 News.

Bailey was honored with a surprise video tribute before a middle school football game between Riverwatch and Lakeside at Lambert High School.

The tribute included a statement from Governor Nathan Deal and a letter from President George W. Bush.

"You wake up on days like today and you remember exactly where you were, what you were doing," Bailey said. "You try not to think about it every day, but it's back there."
