North Georgia College & State women's soccer player Mallory Sayre has been named the Peach Belt Conference goalkeeper of the week the conference office announced Monday afternoon.

A freshman from Snellville, Ga., Sayre played all 270 minutes in goal over last week's three games for the 20th-ranked Saints and allowed just one goal as her opposition took 44 shots, forcing her to make 24 total saves. The South Gwinnett High School product also recorded back-to-back shutouts against tough competition in the West Florida Tournament to give her four on the season.

She gave up her lone goal of the week late in a 3-1 victory over Belmont Abbey last Monday, but still made seven saves.

In Friday's match against Florida Southern College, Sayre made six saves in goal before recording 11 saves in a 1-0 win on Sunday over 16th-ranked Rollins College despite the Saints being out-shot 20-7. Her 11 saves against Rollins tied her for second all-time in school history for most saves in a game.

Sayre currently leads the PBC in saves with 29 and is second in the league in goals against average (0.21).
