The quarterly breakfasts have seen the development of a group of prayer warriors from across the county. They pray for the special needs of law enforcement and first responders, according to Cronic.
"It's been a real blessing. We've never had to look for a church to host it. We've always had a waiting list of our local churches that have stepped up," Cronic said.
Lt. Governor Casey Cagle is scheduled to appear at Tuesday's breakfast. Sheriff Cronic said it takes on added importance with the anniversary of the September 11 terror attacks.
"It'll be a little more special with remembering the victims of 9/11 and memorializing that again," Cronic said.
He said it's the second year in a row for Lt. Gov. Cagle of Hall County to attend.
"It just really does your heart good that you know people that feel the same way you do, that have those values that you have, and that it is reflective of our community here," Cronic added.
Cronic is retiring from the Sheriff's position. Gerald Couch won a runoff last month and will take office in January. Couch, a Republican, does not face a Democrat challenger in the November general election.
"There are a number of things that are near and dear to my heart, like this program, that I would love to see continued," Cronic said.
The breakfast is at 7:00 a.m. from Flat Creek Baptist Church. It's located at 5504 Flat Creek Road in the Oakwood area.
The prayer breakfast is open to the general public.
