North Gwinnett's Grady York told Fox 5 that they're selling bricks from the Suwanee school's old building to help pay for projects on the new one.
"These are from the original building, which was 1958," York said. "You think about all the thousands of people that have come through our school. The people that are now doctors and lawyers, moms and dads that live across the country, that live in Atlanta, that live outside, people that live right here."
School officials have come up with the idea of selling that nostalgia for $30 per brick. They're also selling chairs used for years in the athletic facility for that same amount.
The money will go toward needed projects around the athletic field, such as a storage shed for equipment and new lockers in the weight room.
