GAINESVILLE - Hall County officials are scheduled to sit down Tuesday with their municipal counterparts for another round of sales tax negotiations.

And, selection of a mediator is on the agenda.

There have been two meetings so far dealing with the question of how to divvy up Local Option Sales Tax (LOST) revenue over the next ten years. Every decade Georgia law requires local governments within a county to renegotiate the distribution of LOST revenues following the U.S. Census.

Participates in Tuesday's meeting are also scheduled to discuss a "negotiation calendar."

The meeting will be held at 10:00 at the Hall County Courthouse Annex.

The first meeting was held July 23. (See link below.) The second on Aug. 13.
