OAKWOOD - A suspected drug dealer was arrested in Oakwood by Hall County Sheriff's deputies and drug agents Friday afternoon.

Lt. Scott Ware of the Gainesville-Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad said officers made contact with Michael Harvey Jackson, 35, Flowery Branch, in the 3400 block of Mundy Mill Road.

"Mr. Jackson had an outstanding Superior Court arrest warrant, a suspended driver's license and was in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine and oxycodone tablets which were intended to be sold to another individual," Lt. Ware said. "Mr. Jackson was driving a motor vehicle which was occupied by three other individuals."

Ware said Jackson fled in his vehicle as officers tried to arrest him. "A brief pursuit ensued and Mr. Jackson was quickly taken into custody without further incident."
