According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Cumming's mayor said this week that they will pull the plug on the county's raw water supply if the two sides don't agree on a new water contract by Oct. 1
Mayor H. Ford Gravitt said the city will, however, continue to supply Forsyth County with more expensive treated water after that date, but the county would pay three times what it paid last year to serve is 170,000 water customers.
Forsyth County commissioners have argued that they shouldn't be held accountable for the increased price of the more treated water since they didn't approve or agree to the upgrades.
