GAINESVILLE - A painting by an 81-year-old Lanier Village Estates resident will be on display at the state Capitol for the next 6-8 months.

Ruth Money has been painting for seven years and her daughter is also an artist. They have put on art shows together and Money has featured her work in individual shows.

The work, a 16x20 oil on canvas, which is hanging in the Executive Offices at the state Capitol, is an interpretation of Northeast Georgia. It went on display today.
