Softball: White County tops Stephens County, 8-6

CLEVELAND -- White County outlasted Stephens County on Monday after four lead changes, squeaking out a 8-6 win in Cleveland.

White County took the lead in the third inning and held on for the victory, pulling ahead for good on a two-run home run by Kristen Mullis.

Mullis racked up three RBIs on two hits for White County.

Isabelle Fain got the win for White County despite allowing six runs over seven innings. Fain struck out two, walked three and gave up six hits.

Stephens County jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the first before the Lady Warriors pulled back into the contest.
