Georgia Power says about 10,400 homes and businesses were without electricity after a line of storms moved through Tuesday evening. All but 400 of those customers were in metro Atlanta, particularly the northern side of the metro area.
Crews were out working to restore service.
The National Weather Service says north and central Georgia are at risk for quarter-sized hail, wind gusts up to 60 mph, frequent lightning and heavy rain.
