UNDATED - Four people were hurt in two separate fireworks accidents Wednesday night, according to law enforcement authorities.

Woodstock police said two pyrotechnicains setting up fireworks for the Fourth of July Freedom Festival were injured.

Police spokeswoman Brittany Duncan said that the licensed company contracted to set off fireworks had a close-to-ground detonation that injured the two workers.

She said one of those injured was taken to the hospital, but his injuries didn't appear life-threatening.

The fireworks were halted for almost an hour but later resumed.

Meanwhile, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources is investigating after a box of fireworks on board a pontoon boat on a private lake in Villa Rica went up all at once near the VFW post.

The two men on the boat reportedly jumped into the water. Both were burned, according to the DNR. One of them was hospitalized with non life threatening injuries.
