On Tuesday some of short track racing's most popular drivers will file into GMP to park haulers and suit up to practice for the Commerce Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram World Crown 300. Practice will begin at 4 p.m. and fans can come and watch from trackside and the grandstands free of charge.
Drivers include up-and-comers and fan favorites like David Ragan, Max Gresham, Chase Elliott, Stephen Nasse, Cale Gale, Ryan Blaney and Bubba Pollard.
"GMP is excited to have so many great drivers entered for the Commerce Chrysler Dodge jeep Ram World Crown 300," GMP general manager Dan Elliott said. "There isn't a better date that the World Crown could have been moved to. We are proud to celebrate Independence Day with great racing and wonderful fans."
On Wednesday fans can begin a new tradition by celebrating the Fourth of July with racing, barbecue and a fireworks display.
Gates for the race will open at noon and opening ceremonies will begin at 5:25 p.m.
Thanks to Kipper Tool, Military personnel (active or retired) and their immediate family will get into the Commerce Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram free of charge.
Fans may pre-order tickets for $25. Adult general admission at the gate is $30. Seniors are $25 at the gate. Kids 12-and-under are free.
